Sports Day
Today Ingunnarskóli held its annual sports day. The day was a great success, helped along by excellent weather.
Students in grades 1-4 split into groups and enjoyed fun outdoor challenges and games across multiple stations. The parent association rented a bouncy castle for the kids, which was a huge hit.
Students in grades 5-7 headed to the Fram gymnasium, where they competed alongside students in grades 5-7 from Dalskóli and Sæmundarskóli. Once the program wrapped up, hot dogs were grilled for everyone. The collaboration was a real success, and the kids went home happy.
Students in grades 8-9 competed in various inter-grade athletic events inside the gymnasium.
At the end of the day, everyone gathered on the school grounds for a group Superman dance. Afterward, everyone enjoyed hot dogs from the cafeteria.
Later today at 6pm is the 10th grade graduation, and tomorrow is the school closing ceremony for grades 1-9. Grades 1-6 arrive at 10 a.m. and grades 7-9 at 10:30 a.m.
