Exemplary performance by Ingunnarskóli in math competition
About 30 students from Ingunnarskóli participated in a math competition for primary schools held at Borgarholtsskóli last Tuesday. The school's students performed exceptionally well, and Ingunnarskóli produced winners in both 8th and 10th grades.
Lilja Jóhanna Birgisdóttir claimed 1st place in 8th grade and also set a competition record with 96 points, the highest score achieved in 8th grade since the competition began. More students from 8th grade placed among the top students, with Hilmir Steinn Ástvaldsson finishing in 5th place and Jóhannes Rafnar Steingrímsson placing 8th-9th.
Sigþór Örn Gunnarsson claimed 1st place in 10th grade and has now won all three years he has competed. He achieved excellent results.
