Ingunnarskóli's Anniversary
Today we came together for an assembly to celebrate Independence Day, Ingunnarskóli's anniversary, Icelandic Language Day and Music Day.
The Ingunnarskóli choir performed several songs, the Grafarvogur school band played, and we all sang together. We also presented awards for Ingunnarskóli's short story and poetry competition.
Here are this year's award recipients, and our warmest congratulations to them.
Primary level:
Best rhyme: untitled poem, Joanna, 3rd grade
Most entertaining story: The Mystery of the Lost Elves, Eva Rún, 4th grade
Mid-level:
Most suspenseful story: The Horror Hotel, Hrafnhildur, 6th grade
Most original story: Jónas the Viking, Lára Harðardóttir, 5th grade
Upper grades:
Most impactful story: The New School, Aníta, 8th grade
Most beautiful poem: untitled poem, Róbert Már, 9th grade
