Planning for December 19
Christmas is approaching. Here's the plan for December 19.
We'll repeat last year's format with a double school day.
Students arrive at the usual time on Thursday, December 19. They follow the regular class schedule. This is a theme day. Art, sports, and swimming classes are canceled.
Grades 1-6 attend a Christmas party at school from 10:15am to 10:45am. Special guests in red may visit to entertain the children.
Students may bring special snacks and drink boxes, but no candy.
They go home at the usual time after the school day ends.
As this is a double school day, students return to school for the Ingunnarskóli Christmas Village from 5pm to 7pm. Students visit the Christmas Village with their families. Grandparents and others are welcome too.
The Christmas Village offers varied activities and a festive atmosphere throughout the school. We hope many can join us for this fun event. See the attachment for more details on activities.
10th graders will run a café where guests can buy treats. Proceeds go to their graduation trip fund.
We ask parents and guests to bring cash if they wish to support this cause.
After the Christmas Village, students begin their holiday break.
School resumes on Friday, January 3, following the regular schedule.
